Welcome to #ChristmasMusicJoy24, a virtual concert where anyone - from beginner students to seasoned professionals - can share their Christmas music performances with the world. Whether you're on a grand stage or in the comfort of your living room, we encourage you to participate and spread the joy of the season through music. It's easy to get involved! To participate, follow the steps below, and for more information and suggestions, visit JoyfulSantaClaus.com.
Visit the webpage on ChristmasMusicSongs.com that has sheet music for your instrument(s) (see the list below). There is music for individual instruments, duets, lyrics pages, and lead sheets. Piano accompaniments and play-along recordings are also available.
Choose the song(s) you’d like to perform. You can print the music or read it directly from the website.
After practicing, record your performance and upload it to YouTube.
Include the hashtag #ChristmasMusicJoy24 in your video title so others can easily find your performance.
Please add a link to the webpage where you found the music so others can join the concert, too! If you’d like it featured on the Joyful Santa Claus blog, send us an email.
For updates on #ChristmasMusicJoy24, you can sign up for the ChristmasMusicSongs.com newsletter, visit my blog at JoyfulSantaClaus.com, or follow the Christmas Music Songs Facebook page.
Besides giving a joyful performance, you can also make your video festive and fun! Here are some tips and suggestions to help you add a little extra Christmas spirit to your video:
Decorate the space where you’ll perform to add some holiday cheer. Christmas lights, a tree in the background, or even some simple garlands can make your video more festive. Classic holiday items like stockings, wreaths, or candles can also add to the holiday spirit.
Wear something festive! Adding holiday-themed clothing, such as a Santa hat, a fun Christmas sweater, or red and green attire, will make your performance feel more spirited and fun. Coordinating your outfits can add a nice touch if you’re performing in a group.
Christmas music is even more enjoyable when shared! Consider performing with friends, family members, or even your local music group.
If you play different instruments, put together a small ensemble to add variety to your performance. Duets, trios, or large ensembles will make your video even more special.
If you’ve created your own DIY Christmas crafts, include them as part of your backdrop. Handmade decorations add a personal touch and reflect the joy of the season.
If you’re a fan of the Two Happy Bears, why not display some of their coloring pages in your video? It’s a fun, festive way to bring the bears into your Christmas celebration!
Remember, the goal of #ChristmasMusicJoy24 is to spread joy and celebrate the season through music. Whether you are performing solo or with a group, in festive attire or simple clothes, your performance will help create a magical Christmas music celebration for all!
